Will Gold (Dietician)

Will Gold is an Accredited Practising Dietitian, permaculture consultant and fourth generation veteran of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Will graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2015, with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics (Hons) and his passion lies in educating clients about where their food comes from and how whole foods benefit both physical and mental health.

Will first joined the Royal Australian Air Force in 2002, serving 6 years as an Aircraft Mechanical Engineer. Following his career in defence, Will traveled extensively overseas working as both a marine engineer and as a kitesurfing instructor.

Since completing Uni in 2015 Will has worked across Australia as a community Dietitian, having worked in remote Western Australia with Aboriginal communities across the Kimberley Region, then returning to South East Queensland, again working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities for a further 3.5 years.

In 2022 Will had the opportunity to follow his passion in permaculture, spending 18 months working on a regenerative farm in the Noosa hinterland, whilst studying to become a permaculture consultant and educator. Will now combines his lived-experience in the ADF with his extensive Dietetic knowledge and permaculture skills to support and educate Veterans to improve their mental wellbeing through multi-day permaculture and nutrition workshops.

Will now resides with his young family living in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. He enjoys spending most weekends with his family at the beach, surfing & kitesurfing, as well as camping. If he is not at the beach he is usually in the garden with his young kids teaching them to grow food at home.”
